What we collect, why, and what happens to it. Written to be read rather than to satisfy a lawyer. Last updated 28 August 2026.
What we collect
Two things, and nothing else.
What you send us
If you fill in the form on our contact page, we receive your name, business name, email address, phone number, website address, the service you selected and whatever you wrote in the message. You choose what to put in those fields, and only the name, email and consent box are required.
Anonymous usage data
This site uses Google Analytics, which records things like which pages were viewed, roughly which region the visit came from, and what kind of device was used. It does not tell us who you are, and it is not tied to anything you send through the contact form. If you would rather not be counted, most browsers offer a setting for it and Google publishes an opt-out extension.
What we do with it
We reply to you
That is the whole purpose of the contact form. We answer your enquiry, and if it turns into work, we keep your details so we can do that work.
We do not sell it
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Your details are not a product and they will not be traded, rented or passed on.
We do not add you to a list
Sending us an enquiry does not sign you up for anything. If we ever start a mailing list you will have to ask to be on it.
Who else sees it
Form submissions are delivered by email through Resend, and our email runs on Google Workspace. Both are processors handling data on our behalf. Nobody else receives it, including on any client work we go on to do.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email maida@bonbonica.com and we will do it — there is no form and no process to go through.
If you are a Massachusetts resident, state law gives you rights over personal information a business holds about you. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what is collected, to have it deleted, and not to be discriminated against for asking. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you those rights and a few more. We apply the same answer to everyone regardless of where you live: ask, and we will tell you or delete it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are deleted once the conversation has clearly ended. Records for clients we have worked with are kept while the relationship is active and for as long afterwards as US tax and business record rules require.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets its own for measurement. There is no advertising tracker, no retargeting pixel, and no third-party font or script beyond analytics — the fonts on this site are served from our own server precisely so that nobody else sees your visit. How this site is built explains why that is possible here and not on most sites.
Children
This site is meant for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email us and it will be deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. We will not quietly widen what we collect and leave the old date in place.
