About · Swampscott, MA
Maida White, founder of Bonbonica.
An engineer running a small marketing agency on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Thirty-five years across engineering and marketing, seven of them in digital, and one habit that hasn't changed: look at a website the way an engineer looks at a system.
How I got here
Directing marketing in Europe, then starting again in Massachusetts.
Before Bonbonica there were years as a director in marketing agencies and in advertising for radio stations across Europe. I moved to the US in 2023 and have been building ever since.
The engineering side shows up in how the work gets done. A website has to work as well as it looks, and most sites are only doing half the job — they look finished and quietly fail at the part that brings in customers. Business intelligence work taught me to distrust a number without the question behind it, which is why the reports we send say what moved and why rather than showing a dashboard and leaving you to interpret it.
SEO is the hardest work I've done. The engines never stop moving. The only thing that holds up over time is original writing meant for people, and there's no shortcut around that.
How we work
Four things you can hold us to.
You talk to the person doing the work
I run your account myself for the first three months, until the system is set up and working the way it should. After that I bring in the people who continue it with me — and I stay on it. If you text the number on this site, it reaches me.
Plain language, always
Every month you get a report saying what moved, what didn't, and what happens next — not a dashboard screenshot left for you to interpret. If an explanation needs jargon to sound impressive, it probably isn't worth much.
Honest about what won't work
Sometimes paid ads make no sense for your margins. Sometimes a template site is the right call and we're the wrong fit. You'll hear that before you spend anything.
Your rankings are protected first
If you already rank for something, that's the most valuable thing you own and the easiest to break by accident. Nothing gets changed on those pages without a reason.
What clients say
Every review on Google is five stars.
The absolute best local marketing agency! She genuinely cares about both your business and you as a person. Her expertise is unmatched, and she's always available when you need her. From top-notch marketing services to fixing my website, she does it all. Highly recommend!
Maida is extremely knowledgeable, dedicated and works hard for her clients. She encourages open dialogue about the direction of the projects she's working on. It's been a pleasure working with her!
What we build
Tools we make ourselves.
Bonbonica builds its own software as well as client work. Uniqueme writes and schedules a full week of social posts in about five minutes — for people who post in the gaps between jobs, not on a marketing calendar. It's live at uniqueme.app with a seven-day trial and no card required.
Website Manager rebuilds an existing site as hand-coded HTML, then lets the owner request changes in plain English — with every edit reviewed before it publishes.
The day-to-day is still local SEO, Google Business Profile management and websites for businesses on the North Shore.
Questions about Bonbonica
Questions we get asked.
Who is Maida White?
An engineer who runs a small marketing agency from Swampscott, Massachusetts. Thirty-five years across engineering and marketing, seven of them in digital, and a habit of looking at a website the way an engineer looks at a system.
Who will actually be working on my account?
Maida, for the first three months, until the system is set up and running properly. After that she brings in the people who carry it forward with her, and stays on the account herself. There is no account manager relaying your questions to someone you never meet.
What areas do you serve?
The North Shore first — Swampscott, Lynn, Salem, Beverly, Peabody, Marblehead — then the rest of Massachusetts, and clients in New Hampshire, Chicago and Florida. More on where we work.
What makes Bonbonica different?
We publish prices, publish real client numbers, and say when something is not worth doing. If paid ads make no sense for your margins, you will hear that before you spend anything.
