Custom apps · built for clients
When the tool you need does not exist yet, we build it.
Most businesses can run on software someone else made. Occasionally there is a piece of your work that no product covers — a booking flow, a calculator, an internal tool that replaces a spreadsheet three people email around. That is what this is for.
What we build
The kinds of things clients ask for.
Booking and intake flows
Something that fits how you actually take clients, rather than bending your process around a booking product that almost works.
Calculators and quoting tools
A visitor works out roughly what something costs and you get a qualified enquiry instead of a phone call that starts from zero.
Internal tools
The spreadsheet that three people email back and forth, turned into something with one version and no accidental overwrites. Often paired with automation for the repetitive part. Often paired with automation for the repetitive part.
Client portals
Somewhere your clients can see their own information without emailing you to ask for it.
Integrations
Two systems you already pay for that refuse to talk to each other. Often a few hours of work rather than a new subscription.
Anything that starts with "can we just"
If you find yourself describing a workaround your team does every week, that is usually a small piece of software waiting to be written.
How it works
From the first conversation to launch.
1 · Discovery call
Your goals, your audience, the pain points, and the problem the app actually needs to solve. Most requests turn out smaller than they sounded once we get to this last part.
2 · Strategy and scope
Features, priorities, timeline and the best approach. This is where things get cut — the first version does one job well rather than six jobs adequately.
3 · User flow and wireframes
The structure, the journey and the key screens, mapped before any development starts. Changing a wireframe costs an hour; changing built software costs two weeks.
4 · Interface design
A clean, branded interface that is easy to use and looks like it belongs to your business rather than to a template.
5 · Development and integrations
The build itself — database, APIs, and any automations or third-party tools it needs to talk to.
6 · Testing, launch and support
Everything tested, the rough edges smoothed, then launched. After that we support the next round of improvements, because the first version is always wrong somewhere.
Being straight with you
Buy before you build.
If a product already does this for forty dollars a month, buy it. Custom software costs more up front and it never stops needing attention — that is the honest trade.
Building makes sense when the off-the-shelf option forces you to change how you work, when the subscription across your whole team costs more than the build, or when the thing genuinely does not exist.
This is a service we deliver for clients. It is separate from the products we make ourselves. If you want to talk it through, describe the problem and we will tell you whether it needs building — or point you at a website if that is really what it is.
App development questions
Questions we get asked.
How much does a custom app cost?
It depends entirely on what it has to do. We quote after the discovery call, once the actual problem is clear — most requests turn out smaller than they sounded.
Should I build or buy?
Buy, if a product already does this for forty dollars a month. Building makes sense when the off-the-shelf option forces you to change how you work, or when the subscription across your whole team costs more than the build.
How long does it take?
The smallest useful version comes first and gets used before anything else is built. That is deliberate — the first version is always wrong somewhere, and finding out costs a week rather than six months.
Who owns the code?
You do. You get the code and the account it runs on. Nothing is locked to us and you can take it to another developer whenever you want.
